DIY Paper Bats

Tis’ the season. 🦇

I love sustainable decor and am always trying to utilize natural elements when I can. These paper bats make a big impact, are cost effective, easy, fun to make, a great family activity and can be recycled or used again next year.

What you’ll need:

  • Black cardstock paper. I used 1 pack of 50 sheets from Walmart for $6

  • Scissors

  • pencil

  • painters tape

Method:

Step 1: Print my paper bat template below.

Step 2: Trace the bat template onto the cardstock with a pencil. I fit one larger bat and one smaller bat on a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Don’t stress about getting them perfect. You can haphazardly draw and cut them out however you please

Step 3: Fold the bats wings in a bit, this will give them some dimension when you hang them on the wall.

Step 4: Hang them around your home with painters tape on the back! I added them in a corner, starting them off pretty tight at the bottom and having them spread freely the higher I went. Have fun and get creative :)
