Midsummer Celebration

Flower wreaths, dancing and a sun that never sets. Swedes call it Midsummer.

Between my love for Scandinavia and my partners Swedish heritage, I knew I had to celebrate Midsummer this year. The Swedish culture and celebration of Midsummer runs deep but in short, Midsummer is a celebration of the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Traditionally celebrated on June 24th, it is a celebration of life, love, and the abundance nature gives to us this time of year.

Feasting and merrymaking are a widespread tradition on Midsummer’s Eve, accompanied by the lighting of fires.
